MANHATTAN BEACH, Los Angeles County — Manhattan Beach has posted a modified residential refuse and street-sweeping schedule for November 26–28, 2026, because of the Thanksgiving holiday.

What happens to trash and recycling?

The city’s November notice says residential collection ordinarily scheduled for Thursday, November 26, moves to Friday, November 27. Friday’s route is collected on Saturday, November 28. These changes are associated with Waste Management’s holiday schedule.

Is street sweeping canceled all weekend?

No. The city specifies no street sweeping on Thanksgiving Thursday, November 26, and says there will be no makeup of that day’s route. Other routes may operate according to their regular schedule.

The city also describes separate holiday parking-enforcement exceptions, including no street-sweeping citations on designated holidays. Residents should use the actual posted street signs and the city’s notice to determine what applies to their particular block.

Where to ask

For collection issues, the city’s official notice directs residents to Waste Management at (310) 830-7100. For street sweeping it lists the contracted service provider at (562) 861-4606.

Holiday collection changes are a future schedule, not proof that a truck has already completed a route.
