MANHATTAN BEACH, Los Angeles County — Manhattan Beach’s official parking policy lists $30 three-month overnight permits for qualifying city residents using selected beach parking lots.
Which lots are included?
The city names Upper Pier lots, the 26th Street/Bruce’s Beach lot and El Porto. Residents may obtain up to two hangtags per address, subject to eligibility and availability. Permits are valid from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. under the normal rule.
Can the pass be used anywhere?
No. The city says each pass applies only to the particular designated lot and is not valid for street parking. Some lots lock entrances or exits around 8 p.m., so a vehicle owner should read the individual lot’s operating rules.
What changes in the cooler season?
The city’s regulations allow broader weekend/holiday validity during specified months for some lots, with explicit exceptions around Easter and Memorial Day. Check the full city schedule to see which exceptions apply to your chosen lot.
Public parking meters and other downtown parking rules are separate. Residents should apply through the city permit channel and confirm the current fee before paying.
